mission of Officer Selection Station Wilkes Barre is to assist qualified
applicants in applying for Marine Officer Programs and to prepare
Officer Candidates for Officer Candidates School
Not everyone can be a
Marine. And not every Marine can be an officer. Young men and women who join
our ranks right out of high school enlist in the Corps. Officers, however, are
usually college graduates who have either completed the Platoon Leaders Class
or attended Officer Candidates Course shortly after graduation. This is an
excellent opportunity to lead this nation's most elite warriors, and the
ability to do so will set you apart. Become a Marine Corps Officer and you will
never look back - except at those trying to keep up.
